 – 3:15 PM EST the webinar\, “Trenchless Technologies and HDPE – A Co
 ntractor’s Perspective” will be offered. A municipality's first use of
  HDPE is often through a trenchless installation method. HDPE is a viscoel
 astic material that allows for a generous allowable bending radius\, rugge
 dness and durability—valuable characteristics during trenchless installa
 tions. An overview of HDD\, pipe bursting and sliplining technologies\, wh
 at type of equipment and materials are involved\, and examples of successf
 ul and failed installations will be presented\, as well as the most common
  reasons for failure. Calculations for HDD pipe installation such as net e
 xternal loads\, average radius of curvature for bore entrance and exit len
 gths\, axial stress along bore path\, allowable tensile load\, and maximum
  pull force during HDD will be presented. Actual construction consideratio
