Solano Irrigation District

The PE Alliance had a significant impact on the Solano Irrigation District’s project by providing expertise and resources to address various concerns related to the design and implementation of a 4-mile, 30-48″ HDPE pipeline. The Alliance assisted the chief engineer in understanding and overcoming challenges related to connections, fusion failures, manhole penetration, and riser connections. They also suggested using PE manholes instead of concrete, ensuring the longevity of the infrastructure. The PE Alliance’s support and consulting played a crucial role in successfully resolving these issues and contributing to the project’s overall success.

Above is a vertical use of HDPE serving as a manhole, replacing the typically used and less durable concrete manholes.
