WANT TO KNOW THE CONTRACTOR’S PERSPECTIVE?
THIS ADVANCED, HDPE ORIENTED, FREE WEBINAR IS FOR YOU!

Register for the fourth and final in a series of free HDPE webinars sponsored by the Alliance for PE Pipe. On Tuesday, October 14, 2:00 PM – 3:15 PM EST the webinar, “Trenchless Technologies and HDPE – A Contractor’s Perspective” will be offered. A municipality’s first use of HDPE is often through a trenchless installation method. HDPE is a viscoelastic material that allows for a generous allowable bending radius, ruggedness and durability—valuable characteristics during trenchless installations. An overview of HDD, pipe bursting and sliplining technologies, what type of equipment and materials are involved, and examples of successful and failed installations will be presented, as well as the most common reasons for failure. Calculations for HDD pipe installation such as net external loads, average radius of curvature for bore entrance and exit lengths, axial stress along bore path, allowable tensile load, and maximum pull force during HDD will be presented. Actual construction considerations will be provided by an experienced contractor. CEU/PDH offered.

Moderator: Peter Dyke, Executive Director, Alliance for PE Pipe
Speakers: Jon Schumchyk Haugland Group, Jim Williams Brierley Associates, Core & Main, Taylor Holladay Modern Polymer
