Summary
The HDPE pipe industry has been led by the science developed and articulated by the Plastics Pipe Institute for decades. During that time PPI has developed a series of technical notes and technical reports that dive deep into important issues. This session will also incorporate documentation, standards and research from other entities like ASTM, AWWA, NSF and others. The PEA experts discuss the documents then focus upon the importance of the documents for design and installation of HDPE pipe. While this content was provided most recently in 2023, it has been updated to reflect current research and updates from PPI. Included in the conversation will be AWWA M55, PPI Handbook, TN-54 Squeeze Off, TR-3 Hydrostatic Design Basis, TN 46 Hydro Testing, TR-46 HDD.
